I finally was able to convince my GP to recommend me to a gastro doc and he is doing an EGD on me tomorrow to see why I am nauseus everytime I eat. I think I know the answer but when I told one doc he told me that I was too far out from my gastric bypass for it to happen so tomorrow we will see. I am a bit scared because I will be put under because I have sleep apnea and because my mom won't be in the building when I'm having it done. She has to have something done with her tooth up the road but will be there when I get out to take me home. I guess I just feel she doesn't think I'm important enough to stay with during the procedure. I don't think anything will go wrong but you know they always say someone should be in the building with you. Oh well hopefully I will feel up to posting tomorrow to tell you if I know anything what the doc finds.

Come on jbug, what can your mom do while the doctors have you in their care and your under??? Worry? She can do that from a distance. Care? Ditto. She's taking you and bringing you home, isn't she?
Good wishes tomorrow!

Everything will be fine, and your mom is having her dental work done while your there, just to keep herself busy, mom's like to worry. If they don't fine a problem, keep pushing your doctors to listen, you know your body.
Good Luck tomorrow & Don't Worry!!!! ![]() ![]()

Esophagogastroduodenoscopy... say that 5 times fast :P
1 in 1,000 have complication in this surgery. That's .001% chance. For all the other possible reactions you are in the best possible place should any of those arise! You'll be fine!

Well I had my EGD today and they found a dime sized ulcer in the incision from my RNY Gastric Bypass they said that is what has been causing my problems and put me on Prevacid for 3 months. The problem is it's the end of the month and I have no money for anything so can't get the script filled. I called my doc's office when I woke up this afternoon and left a message telling them my situation and asked if they have samples if not I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

Glad they found the problem, and that sucks about not having the money to afford the pills. ![]()
