I've complained enough so I won't take up space with that, but except for hospital- what's the best way to treat multiple infections from home? I tried to wash my eye with water but it's gotten worse and I can no longer see (assuming that's temporary). Should I use soap or something on the infected wounds?

(Or one infection in multiple places, I'm awful with medical things.)

I think the only good way to fight a serious infection is with antibiotics. Soap or some sort of ointment would only affect the infection if it was anti-bacterial, even so, it still won't do alot of good because it's an eye infection and not something like a scrape.

I hate to break it to you, but the only way I see you infection better is if you go to the hospital, or at least the doctors. I know you don't like it there for ...many reasons, but if you stay at home then it will only get worse.

If you can't see, you need to see a doctor. What kind of infection are you referring to? Infections need antibiotics. Soap won't make it better, it could make it worse. Same with iodine/rubbing alcohol/hydrogen peroxide. How big is the infected area? Where is it located?

You need to go to a doctor, I'm serious. Infections can result in REALLY bad things if left unprofessionally treated. You could wind up sick, or with medical complications, if it's in a limb... well it would be bad ... the list just gets worse from there. If you *know* it's infected - talk to a doctor, or a nurse, or a pharmacist... but preferably, go to the doctor.

It started with my eye which I can't see out of right now. That's bloody and there's discharge and it really hurts, I've washed it just with water before. I did talk to a doctor once who talked about bad infection and rust residue in the eye.

I had along cut on my arm which is also infected, that's along my arm and seems pretty big, the red streaks extend to my hand too and it's swollen all along and there's splotches and it's red. It's also swollen under that shoulder and a little on my neck (but that may not even be related). Chest hurts but I'm sure that's unrelated and from a previous injury, feeling very sick, sometimes burning, sometimes freezing, breathing pretty fast (normal when scared I guess) and feeling sweaty. The arm and eye both worsened pretty fast but I don't know anything about these kinds of things.

IDK what kind of infection it is, because I am completely useless with anything medical. And, honestly, I rarely go to hospital unless I have no choice / I've exhausted every possible option. Really, saying I hate hospitals is a huge understatement and going willingly is not as simple for me as people would think. Infections

I hate to say it Griffe...but if you have red streaks and swelling, you'll be going to the hospital unwillingly in the very near future if you don't go on your own very, very soon! Those are VERY serious symptoms...not being able to see is also VERY serious. I'm talking permanent loss of sight, loss of limb and possibly life. Red streaks are a sign of the infection being in your blood and traveling...when it gets to the heart it's very bad news, and from the arm it's not so very far to travel to get to the heart.

No matter how horrible the hospital is for you, you have to find a way to go...and VERY soon...as in NOW.
