I slept really well last night, even though I still felt somewhat stressed from going to my nieces wedding. Might be why I slept good though, because my body was finally settling down.
But this morning when I woke up, it was like I just had the tube pulled out of my throat after a surgery. I was gasping for air, and coughing. Had that really raw, sore throat feeling. Has anyone had this before? I feel ok now, a little tired yet. and my throat is still kinda sore. Just so weird , this never happened before.

I've never had that happen to me but wanted to say how scary that must have been.

Do you have a stuffy nose?? If you were breathing through your mouth all night then that could make that happen

No , no stuffy nose that I can tell of. In fact I had taken my allergy medication yesterday to help with any of that. It was just so weird. I really felt like I was struggling to get a breath at all.

maybe the medication had something to do with it?
I'm guessing its nothing to worry about unless it happens more often? Then maybe ask your gp about that...
