Hello,
I had both my knees replaced on 10/14/2008 and am walker/cane free, fully ambulatory and driving. Physical therapy is going GREAT! My challenge is the anemia from the surgery. I had two pints of blood transfused three days after surgery and I perked right up...hmmm?...maybe I should be a vampire! I changed my diet starting about a week ago to include iron rich foods and foods high in vit c so that I can absorb more iron but talk about tuckered out. I can hardly do the physical therapy without needing a rest! I am not complaining. I just don't want to set myself back by not doing something more proactive on this anemia thing. What's your take?

Hugs,
Barbara
