I talked to my mom today and she informed me that my Aunt Bonnie (her sister) has inoperable lung cancer. So that inspired me to try to quit smoking yet again. I tried the throw the cigarettes in the dumpster again along with the lighters and the ashtray but this time I am armed with Commit lozenges, Nictrol Inhalers, Peppemints and Straws. I also found the 1-800-Quit-Now line. That I think is going to help the most. They are the ones that supplied me with the Commit lozenges for free so I can use them and I'm to use at least 8 of them a day to start out with. So far and I only threw the cigarettes in the dumpster an hour ago I've used one and it didn't taste too bad so I think I can use the lozenges successfully.

I talked with one of the quit coaches today and set up a 3 step plan that if the cravings get really bad I have to do 3 things before I can have a cigarette. I have to 1. Pet Tyger...2. Work on my Scrapbook for my sister for Christmas...3. Call the Quit line..and if after doing all 3 things I still want a cigarette then I can have one but she said that after doing all 3 things I probably won't want one because the urge will have passed.
