Alright I got my appendix out when I was 8 (8 years ago) and every now and then the spot where my appendix USED to be starts to hurt. My doctor said it was just scar tissue and that at some times it'll hurt.

Except today it hurt like no other!! It was completely tearing and seering pain...like my appendix had burst all over again

I'm not sure whether or not to call my doctor...as it could just be stress along with the scar tissue and all the food i had today

Anybody think I should call my doctor, or should I wait it out?

I think severe and increased pain should always be checked out.

There are things that can be done for scar tissue that causes such pain and things that can releive the pain. There are also other thing that can cause a pain that might feel similar, like intestinal pain from inflammation.

I do think the doctor needs to know when a pain becomes more frequent and / or more severe.
Thanks for this!

I think that in this kind of case it is always best to make a call to a doctor just to be safe.

I think it should be checked out for sure.

I have the same thing from gallbladder removal...scar tissue. It's worse after eating hard to digest foods, etc. However (and this might be TMI), I have to be careful to make sure I go to the bathroom regularly. If I don't, the pressure from not going can really pull on that scar tissue more, really causing A LOT of discomfort. So, might that be a possibility? You don't have to answer aloud.

Regardless, it needs to be checked out, I think.

Good luck and let us know, hon.

KD

I have a similar problem. I agree with getting checked out and what kd said too. I also went to my chiropractor and explained what was going on and he used a massage type thing on it and it also helped immensely. Hope you feel better soon.

Thanks to you all for your help

I went to my doctor and he said he was a little concerned cause of the tender spots and that he felt tiny bumps

So I'm going to go get an ultrasound this weekend to see whats up. Hopefully nothing too serious. I'll be sure to update you all
