So I thought I was looking a little pale this winter, summer tan fading and all. But no worries--my body has seemed to have taken care of that issue all on its own. I know have my very own case of hives!!! Yippie!!!
Hives are not new to me, but I am uber frustrated at work right now and my neck started itching, then my stomach, then my arms then my chest and now I am a lovely shade of red and white with some scratch marks thrown in. It is so attractive I really wish I could keep it "Don't think about it," "Don't scratch," "Stop being frustrated." All these are lovely solutions and I have thanked my brain profusely for them. However, I think they have grown quite attached to me, so they will be sticking around for a while. Just thought I'd fill you in on my new found skin tone! AAARRRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!
P.S. if anyone is an expert on RVU's for physician compensation, please pm me before I get hives in places that will really be uncomfortable!!!

Ay! I LOATHE hives, they are the absolute worst. I know what you're going through- irritating and everyone telling you to quit it. I just hate that! What I do to soothe them is to put baby oil on them...usually works like a charm for me. Hope you feel better soon

Thank you. They mostly have resolved, a little on my arm, but now in their wake on my stomach I have little red petechia. Oh well, cover it up, no problem!! I appreciate your sympathy, I'll have to try baby oil next time. I should keep some here at my desk because work is usually what causes them!!!

Make sure they're not from your laundry detergent or a new outfit or something else in your environment! I was allergic to my cat for 20 years but didn't know it since he was primarily an outdoor cat and not cuddly. But he got sick and started hanging around with me and I became hive city. Children's strength Benadryl helped me (so I wouldn't be as tired).

Thank you. Mine were strictly from work stress (I got them the day before my first wedding so bad I had to have a shot). The ones this morning on my hands and feet are from the cold. I wish I could do the benadryl but it puts me to sleep!
