I have a little health problem, but due to that, i feel lightheaded/dizzy all the time. Sometimes feel a bit 'out of it', loose focus or like i 'zone' out i guess lol. Its getting fixed.

most of the time lately i have been really quiet, but thats mainly due to the fact im sitting there, and trying to just stay with it!! otherwise i was affraid i'd black out.

I'd loose concentration and blink like 6-9 times in a row to become focused again. Its not a major problem. fixable, but feeling like this is annoying and draining.

I was just wondering If you were feeling this way, do you think you'd still be able to the following? (or which ones could / couldn't you do?)

  1. - Drink alcohol
  2. - be chatty and start conversations (with people you know AND dont know
  3. - be lively and energetic
  4. - have sex

But by feeling this way, it makes you feel pretty crappy, tired and it is rather draining. And is big enough to affect your performance at work.

I haven't even been able to concentrate long enough to watch a movie the entire way through.

thanks!

this is easy for me to answer - fellow lightheaded one here! so:
1. no to alcohol.
2. yes to conversations. but this is because i don't care about what people think of me and am happy to tell them to hold on a sec while i black out.
3. yes to faking energy, but no to doing physical stuff.
4. oh hell no. to sex. but that is just one my particular hang ups.

those are pretty specific questions you have there. any particular reason for bringing those ones up?

thank you!!
Im with you on 1 and 4! For me 4 was even more awkward as i just started having sex lol, so it was......odd. you dont feel 'in the mood' at all!

For 2, for me, im naturally quiet and shy anyways, but think i have been even more so, due to worrying about the condition, and feeling lightheaded - it may not seem much, but i never felt 'with it' lol.

Oh, i was recently told about a health problem, and this seems to be one of the symptoms. its bit better now but the past month and a half was really bad. I haven't told anyone. Theres a few people i think i do need to tell, why i have been that way i guess - explain! lol. Just wanted to see if other people who might feel that way, if they'd be wanting to do that stuff or not to it! lol.

thanks for ur reply!

i wonder how much it is related to or aggravated by your breathing. if you do shallow breaths then sometimes you can get a little oxygen deprived which can result in feeling faint / fainting. i guess the worst that can happen is that you pass out and then resume breathing normally. in which case so long as you don't hit your head on the way down things should be alright.

but... maybe it isn't related to breathing. what does your doc say?
