I have an SSI hearing coming up in a few weeks. I'm in need of an attorney to help me win my case. My diagnosis is fibromyalgia and myaofascial pain. My initial application for SSI has been denied. I've waited a year for this hearing and two local attorneys have refused to take my case. They say that at my age, and given that there's no objective medical evidence, they doubt they can win the case for me.

Does anyone know of an attorny in NY who has a track record for winning SSI hearings for fibromyalgia/myofacial pain?

sorry hon I can't help you on this. I do know though that you should have had an attorney already workiing on it. a few weeks is not enough time. have they sent you for any evaluations at all?
