What do you think/know about electronic cigarettes? Do you think they are safe?

They sound better then regular cigarettes but to be safe in my book the only safe smoking is no smoking.
Thanks for this!

My Nephew uses the electric cig, he likes it alot it is practically smokeless and he can smoke inside buildings and feed his nicotine addiction and nobody even notices.
Thanks for this!

I have checked into them. they are water based and you can even use them in resturants and all places you are not suppose to smoke. pretty cool actually. I never had one but saw a demo of them. they do have nicotene in them though so that is the bad part but they say it does help to stop smoking. pretty expensive too I think.

Yes, they seem pretty harmless, right? You can chose how much nicotine you want on them (even you can ask for none). Yes, they are expensive but I am starting to think that maybe they are worth it.

Problem i see is a replacement addiction. Nicotine is adictive, in fact that is the active ingredient that causes the addiction. Chantix now, as far as i know everyone that has ever used it has quit. My wife used it, and was quit and has had absolutly no desire to start back, none! and trust me it was very hard for her to quit.

I am not sure if I understand why it would be legal to use these in places where it is illegal to smoke. Can someone explain that?

It's legal because the smoke it generates is not harmful. It is more like water vapor without all the harmful carcinogenics, CO2, etc.
