Not sure what is going on. I woke up at 2:00am and broke into a cold sweat - turned as "white as a ghost" and almost passed put. Having diabetes type 2 I checked my sugar - 116 ok that is good - after about an hour I was feeling a little better and went to sleep. today I am feeling very shaky - so I checked my sugar again - up to 147 very odd as it normally goes down while I sleep and I have not eaten anything since about 8:00 last night. I did put a call into my Dr to see what he thinks might be going on. I have had my sugar drop low and been to high before but have never felt like this. Is it possible I am just rundown. I guess that is a question for the Dr.

Thanks for letting me vent - little worried about this.

My son has type 1 diabetes so you have my extreme sympathy. It can be a difficult & ever changing balancing act to keep your blood sugar right.
Did they educate you properly about this when you developed diabetes? How long have you had it? After a while quite a lot of Type 2s have to go on insulin.
I`m so sorry this is dragging you down, I know how much my own health issues affect my mental state.
Take care of yourself, & make sure that your doctor listens.

Gee I see a dietician tomorrow and was going to ask her about a friend I have with diabetes... maybe someone here has the info... my friend cannot get his diabetes managed he has lost all his weight (he wasn't overweight in the least to begin with) and now he is skin and bones literally and I know his organs will be next... and...

is there some listing of foods that ANY diabetic can eat so I can buy him snacks for when we are together??? It seems everything EVERYTHING sends him but he has to eat!

I hope you all are feeling better today. sick - rundown - diabetes issues
