Anyone else experience symptoms of this?

It seems like there was one website dedicated to it, transabled.org, that is no longer around.

I don't match any of the types discussed in any literature, but I have ALL of the associated symptoms, and have as far as I can remember.

I've just been doing research about this over the past few months, and I'm really interested in reaching out to other people who know what this feels like, who have any tips or resources to share... anything. :\

As an aside, I don't think this should be here. This is 100% a mental issue related to body image disruption and a kind of dysmorphia.

I do not have BIID but I do know some people with it. your treatment providers who diagnosed you with this can probably give you all kinds of information about it. there are actually many informational websites still active. one is Body Integrity Identity Disorder | Biid.org forum boards well most here where I live and work get that information from their treatment providers too. but you can probably find some by doing a google search on the words BIID forums or any combo of the disorders name along with the words blogs or forums.

I have it. It's ruthless. I don't know how to explain to someone who doesn't have it, but this leg is NOT MINE. From my understanding, I'm atypical in that I'm a female, but it doesn't lessen the pain. When I was a teenager, I asked a boyfriend to cut it off, but he chickened out. In my early 20s I injected MRSA but it didn't take. In the past month, I jumped off a tall building and landed squarely on the leg but all it did was break it. I'm at a loss, please help me.
