I don't understand. I had the gastric sleeve surgery on feb 19th, 2014. I was pushed into it by family and doctors. The doctors assured me it would make my back and knee pain stop but it's worse now, if anything, because it was because of "my weight" My family ignorantly agreed without any testing or imagine as to why I was in pain. Turns out it's genetic problems. I have a degenerative disc in my lower back and idk in my knee. I weighed 265lbs the day of surgery. Today I weigh 117lbs. One year and 8 months. Most people stop losing weight at 6 months majorly and then level out. Most people are extremely happy to lose 60lbs. I've lost 148lbs. I've been on Marinol the last two months. My weight keeps bouncing between 115 and 126lbs. Mainly on the lower end. But at least the Marinol gives me hunger to be able to eat. My surgeon told me AFTER I awake enough after surgery that he made my sleeve "extra tight" to help me lose weight and keep it off. He is now many states away. So I can't go back to him. The Marinol cost me my pain management doctor even though I have a written letter and everything from the primary care doctor as to why I tested positive for thc. The primary care doctor said its a very rare complication of the surgery that the surgeon is supposed to deal with but since mine moved.. I'm set up to see a G.I in a few weeks to talk about TPN therapy but I really really don't want a feeding tube. I want to cry. I'm only 23. As if I didn't have enough problems to deal with.

Has anyone else has weight loss surgery and kept losing weight no matter what? Does anyone have any advice or any ideas why this is happening? Even the doctor is confused (and that apparently fascinates him because it's so rare to happen.)

Oh. I forgot to say that my blood work always comes back normal. My vitamin levels are always normal. I'm eating like I'm supposed to. My body just won't retain it.
