For the past several weeks my blood pressure has been high. I recently started mirtazapine, but have the feeling the increase in bp was already happening. They have increased my bp meds twice now but it is still high. I do admit that I am very very stressed right now as my husband and son are going away today and not coming home until Sunday night and that scares me. I won't be alone, but my daughter will be working a good amount of time.
I am doing Ketamine Infusions and have one today. I think we might drive all the way to the center and if my bp is where it is now, they may not want to do it. At the same time I am scared if they do do it and my bp goes up something can happen. The thing with Ketamine is it needs to be been done close together in the beginning. Granted my progress on it hasn't been anywhere near as good as everyone else's, but that is the way my luck works. I;m scared and frustrated and am not looking forward to all the time I will have to myself. I am not good at finding ways to occupy myself. I usually retreat to bed, where if I am luck I might doze. Otherwise my brain just keeps finding negative thoughts. To be fair, even when they are home there isn't much interaction and my husband just can't provide the kind of support I need. It just isn't in his personality, plus he is mentally exhausted from dealing with this for the past 2 years. Last time I had a problem, within 6 months we found the right med combo to stabilize me. Thanks for listening. |

How are you doing now? Definitely talk to your doctor and see if there's any way to better control your blood pressure. I'm sorry you're dealing with so much!

This is a pretty common problem with combining medications. You should speak to your prescribe'rs about it if there are more than one. Stress can raise your blood pressure. If it's really high don't hesitate to go to the E.R. I hope it gets better with everything.

I'm now taking blood pressure medicine. But stress can still increase it, I think. I hope the docs can help you relax and get it more stable.
