i have my brain scans on the 31st, and there seems to be a growing chance that they will actually show something!!

back-story info:
this summer while i was having my 'extra stuff' going on [post titled 'the journey ahead'], i started to notice a few 'other' symptoms occurring. i labeled these things as 'outside' of my brain injury symptoms (which are still on-going).
then in Aug. i realized that what i was noticing were actually neurological symptoms (a few of my 'other' symptoms). so in early Sept., i had a virtual appt with my local physician to discuss these things i was noticing. a referral was made to an internal medicine doctor to figure out what was going on.

i saw the internal medicine doctor in early Nov., and he thought it best to get some MRI scans and nerve-testing tests done. he held off putting those orders thru until the neurologist saw me. he ordered some blood tests to see if that showed anything. a few of my numbers were a little low, so he said they would be re-checked at the follow-up appt in Jan.

i saw my B.I. doctor (brain injury) in early Dec., who upon hearing about these 'other' symptoms, went ahead and right away put in the order for my MRI scans. at this time, my 'other' symptoms included 5 neurological ones plus 2/3 other symptoms. the only ideas i had as to 'what might' be going on was this: a) the local physician said 'with two of my symptoms, they would look at something along the lines of MS; but given my 'head' history, it could be something like brain lesions'; b) the internal medicine doc said it could be related to my brain injuries.

now last week's appt has me worrying more. my optometrist told me that the two new-visual-things i described, meant i was having "neurologic reactions manifesting as visual symptoms". he added, that is in an area of the brain 'outside of the visual pathways'. he also told me that if you take away my brain injuries, he would think my symptoms would be from a brain tumor! [he admitted that's happened twice with patients of his] and this is looking at only my visual symptoms, nothing else!!!
this now adds 1/2 additional symptoms to my list of 5 neurological symptoms!

i have known for many months that something 'more' was going on, but i was thinking something like an auto-immune disease. i was in NO way thinking about MS or a brain tumor......

at times, it seems like not many come in here. so i posted a similar message in a different forum group:
the journey ahead - part two

Early in January this year I was told I had a small lesion on my brain which could be serious it could be anything from a beign tumour to cancer to MS to something else. Covid happened MRI came back clear and I have been forgotten about. I'm not one to make a fuss so until I get ill again then nothing is going to happen. I'm away to read your original post ok
