I think I’m constipated among other things. One of my new meds causes constipation. I took some colace last night. It didn’t do anything. 2 hours ago I took some mirolax. And now I just have this severe stomach pain and nausea. I don’t know what to do. I’m also super tired so I’m wondering if I should just go to bed.
Any suggestions? __________________ Ridin' with Biden |

Drink a lot (1-2 quarts) of water. Not even laxatives will work without enough water in your system. I'd say go to ER if you've been this way over 2 days. I hope you get relief soon.

I agree. Or in my case, some dairy - esp ice cream or iced coffee - will get things moving. As Seinfeld said, Im very intolerant of lactose!

I tried the iced coffee and the water. I tried a second round of mirolax. I’m going tiny bits but not a lot. My previous doctor said everything was supposed to just flow out with the mirolax. I wonder if I have a blockage.

Day 3 of the mirolax. I’m not even getting stomach cramps. I had a bunch of broccoli and cauliflower today. I drank a ton of water. But I have this terrible nausea so I don’t think things are going too well.
I’m worried if I go to the ER they will either have to operate or give me an enema. I can’t go tomorrow. I’m getting really sick though from it. __________________ Ridin' with Biden |

Go to hospital you've tried everything. They can do an enema. It will bring instant relief.

I tried milk of mangensium twice today. Mirolax twice. A ton of water. Healthy food. Taco Bell. I can’t actually even force myself to try anymore because I think I hurt myself. I’ve been waiting for my doctor to call back for the second time today. I guess my zorfran is as needed despite what the bottle says. So I guess the constipation was caused by that. What a mess.

Still nothing. I’ve started mirolax twice a day now. Its just sitting in my stomach so I look really bloated right now. I called my doctor yesterday and he said it could take awhile for things to work. He didn’t seem concerned. So I guess I just continue to wait. At least I’m not in pain during the day like I was before. Now it’s just the usual nighttime pain.

So I did finally go a little bit half an hour ago and it was like pencil thin and very narrow. I don’t think that’s a very good sign.

Do you think you are still impacted? I hope you didnt really "rip yourself a new one". You know, its YOUR body, no need to be squeamish.

Lol. Yeah I’m still pretty impacted. My stomach is huge despite my weight loss. I just don’t want to have to get an enema. I can’t imagine how painful and embarrassing that would be. I have this nagging sore throat and severe fatigue and other stuff too. So I’m pretty nervous. But I’ll see what the ultrasound says on Monday.

I just drank a huge glass of mirolax and a full measuring cup of milk of magenisum. I think I accidentally just OD on laxatives. Which is actually a pretty funny thought. At least I know if this doesn’t work then somethings seriously wrong.

Seriously, once it hardens up at the opening, you hafta kinda dig it out. Its like a huuuuge scab, only its not just flat, its a solid chunk. No amount of laxative will soften it. My dr once told me, the chemical it would take to soften that, would harm the butt tissue.
There are stimulant suppositories, which you insert, and they dont soften shyte, but they do stimulate the butt muscles, to do their job in about 15 minutes after insertion. I have never tried them when i was impacted. |

Sometimes you need to have patience to go to the toilet. Are you taking painkillers? Painkillers can really clog the system up. With all that mirolax and magnesium relief shouldnt be too far away. Ondansetron can also cause constipation.
When we are ill, sometimes the medications make things worse before it gets better. Do the best you can to get well. |

I felt very sick last night. Then this morning I finally went a lot. It all came out in one big loose ball. lol. So I wonder if that was the blockage. But I felt instant stomach pain and nausea relief afterwards.

It’s happening again. Last time I went was Wednesday afternoon. I’m taking mirolax twice a day with a full glass of water. And I’m drinking a lot of water in general and eating a lot of vegetables and now fruit. All that’s happening is I’m peeing a lot because of the water and the fruits and vegetables are filling me up so I don’t want to eat unhealthy stuff. I think all that is helping my weight loss. I’ve tried some colace too. I take 2 at a time. My stomach doesn’t hurt though I just have that nausea that comes and goes. So I’m not really worried about it.

Now I think I may have given myself a hernia from so much straining. I was super excited today when I thought I saw I was getting abs. Now I’m not sure what that is. It’s a big bulge in the middle of my stomach. But I’m still nauseated and in pain. Especially right now. This wouldn’t be the first time something minor turned into a bigger problem as a result of something I did a bit carelessly.
