My body has aged this year. I have a cyst on my liver, i found out i have arthritis in my hip. That worries me I've had relatives end up in wheel chairs i don't want to be one of them. But yikes arthritis! The cyst is benign but explains pain.
All bad news happened this year, I'm 46! I joked at 46th birthday i fell down the hill. But it's true. Up to this year i felt young vital. Now I'm feeling older. It sucks. It just happens and nothing can be done! __________________ Son: 14, 12/15/2009 R.I.P. Daughter: 20 Diagnosis: Bipolar with Psychosis. Latuda 100 mgs. |

Well... I'm 72. So I really am old! But I know what you mean about your body aging over the past year. I feel similarly. Up to this past year, I'd say, I really didn't notice my advanced years so much. But over this past year I really feel as though I've begun to feel as old as I am. I've developed some "symptoms", so to speak, that are similar to what is referred to as Sundown Syndrome. Plus, a few weeks ago an inguinal hernia I had had repaired when I was a teenager broke open again. (I should have it looked at by a physician. But with the pandemic, along with some other considerations, I'm avoiding doing that.) And there are other things I could mention but won't. Aging... as you say: "it sucks. It just happens and nothing can be done!)

Your not alone in this aging process I think the stress of life especially surrounding the covid has many aging. I pray you will find peace in the process of accepting aging is a part of life; how we handle that is the true question of life.

My doc told me recently not to think of myself as old. I'm 66---and yes, things are starting to show my age--such as arthritis, gray hair, wrinkles, etc. And a new knee. It's nice that these things have been happening rather slowly and not all at the exact same time.
I do think we shouldn't dwell on all these changes, but do the best we can each day. Hang in there, Aviza. |
