My cousin, who has done a huge amount of home caregiving, recommended a gerontologist to coordinate my ex's medical specialists. We found someone wonderful and I cant wait to go.Lately I am totally overwhelmed handling his issues, my issues (had 2 shoulder replacements which went well, but we caregivers are often light on self care). I just saved his life AGAIN. They were bungling his cardia testing. Battled for an angiogram, and he had 2 more heart vessel blockages that were just cleared on Monday. Seriously, I should charge him x amount for each save since he evades medical care and doesnt watch my health at all. This is a total cliche for caregivers. I should read caregiver forum more often! Thanks folks. Hugs!

Dear luvyrself,
I am glad your cousin found a gerontologist to coordinate the medical specialists for your ex. It is heartbreaking that you are burdened with so many overwhelming troubles. I sure hope things improve on every front. You are such a nice person. Sincerely yours, Yao Wen |

This doctor already found two serious issues for my ex in the first month. They have many in house services, even a pharmacy rep, a doctor who does scans, blood tests. They respond immediately to my input. This is a husband and wife team-so great! And the nurse practitioners have the time to listen and interact with the doctors. It's such a relief!
