I've been suffering from chest pain for a few weeks now. Been to the ER twice and gp once. Have had labs, chest x-ray, CT scan, ekg. Everything is normal. My heart rate stays in the 90s or higher. Have a hard time getting a deep breath but eventually get it. First ER visit they said muscle strain. Gp said musculoskeletal and put me on celebrex. Second ER visit said stomach issues and referred me to GI. I've been on celebrex for a week and the pain has not changed. My stomach doesn't bother me at all so I'm having a hard time believing that is the cause. I do know that something is wrong. I do take a host of medications for various reasons. Everything is in my chart and accessible to all who have treated me. It is like they don't know how to read. I feel like they don't want to figure out what is wrong. They just want to further medicate me. I am tired and fed-up.

I'm sorry you are in such a difficult and stressful situation. Chest pain sucks. I'm sorry they haven't found the cause. Try to follow up with the GI just in case. Once I knew a fellow who had chest pain pretty bad and it turned out to be something like he was really constipated. His stomach didn't hurt but he wasn't completely going when he went and it like built up. Gross I know. But hopefully it is something fixable like that.

I have an appointment with GI. It is June 6th! That was first available. What if I was dying and needed a GI issue resolved and I would live? I really can't believe they are that far out. It also took them 3 days to call me back. When they did call, I missed it by a second and had to call them back. They called me back quickly. When you call to make an appointment, you have to leave a message. They don't tell you this. They let you sit on hold and listen to the same message every 2 minutes. Then it forces you to leave a message. They better be a good practice. Oh and my chest still hurts. The celebrex didn't work so I stopped taking it.

How frustrating. My pdoc referred me to a neurologist. They finally called and gave me an appointment...for September. Ridiculous.
