I was already a big fan but I watched a documentary called "The science of fasting" (free on you tube) and it was about how the former USSR has been using fasting for health for years.

They even have a hospital were people go to fast for long time periods in order to heal their body.

It was first discovered like 50 years ago as a cure for mental health. That worked for many people in the USSR and then they noticed the physical benefits.

The documentary goes into western discoveries as well.

The longest I have been able to do is 60 hours. I really want to do a 72 hour fast soon.

i had never considered fasting before but i have breathing issues and some scar tissue on my lungs. in researching treatments, i came upon articles that said fasting could help to get rid of scar tissue. i didn't even think that that was possible. i want to learn more so thank you for the video suggestion. my friend has a chronic and life-shortening condition which modern medicine has no easy cure for. i am wondering if fasting might help us? that would be amazing.

I'm thinking of a 72 hour water only fast. But my meds require food, thinking of going sans meds and supplements during that time. My body needs healing. I did it years ago. But getting inclination to do it again. Just figuring when is the problem. I want to jump start weight loss too.
