Hello, today I decided to finally do my blood tests I got tested for diabetes and all these different things. I went to the doctors for my results he said I didn't have diabetes I was relieved then he said my kidneys and liver were good but I had high cholesterol. I then mentioned my knee which I hurt during aerobics exercise he examined it and then requested an x-ray for it. Then he said I really needed to lose weight I knew this and then he asked me to consider bariatric surgery. I've done other surgeries in my life but this I thought was excessive it wasn't like I was that huge like hundreds of kilos. I was only like 30kg overweight plus in my head I feel my bariatric surgery is cheating... I asked other people what they thought they said that I was lazy and i was always on my *** and just needed execrise. The problem is I never have energy I have been pushing through it and doing 30mins to 1hr aerobic exercise I find it fun. What do people think? Hmm need advice...

My niece has celiac disease and losing weight just was impossible, no matter how much she exercised and watched her diet (and she had to watch her diet carefully). Bariatric surgery (I can't remember exactly which kind) was life-changing for her. It went marvelously, she looks fantastic, and she feels so much better. She's now, almost 4 years post-surgery and is still doing really well. It is definitely not "cheating." She has worked hard to be careful of her diet and exercise to maintain the results of the surgery - you can't just have it and go back to what you were doing before. It takes real commitment.
Sarah, you look marvelous! |
