I have to have both a colonoscopy and a gastroscopy this coming Fri. I'm really dreading the colonoscopy prep.

I was too when I had to have one but it turned out not to be so bad. I had some kind of stuff that I mixed with any non red gateraid. Wasn’t awful, just unpleasant.

That's what I have to do, drink it in 2 2L batches. I'm hoping it doesn't taste too awful.

I know you had your test already. How did it go?

There is another option called Purg-Odan. This medication doesn't require drinking large volumes of prep in a specific amount of time. It's two packets taken about 8 hours a part. Each is mixed with 150 mL of water.

All one has to do is keep hydrated during the prep.
