Hello, pretty much every day I've noticed that my neck/neck and top shoulder areas are either sore or painful. Sometimes it's just noticeable and not painful or anything but usually it's painful and commonly also leads to a headache.
When I try to locate and massage the spot(s) that are sore it usually feels like it's in a big tendon, or at the side base of my skull, or usually I can feel it if I go lower into my back like right at the edge/behind my shoulder blade; which I also do have a back injury of 4 fractured vertebrae and back pain is common too, so I'm wondering if they could be related. I'm just wondering what I can do about this, where I should go for treatment and if there even is much treatment that could be done about it. Thank you very much. __________________ |

@Photonate (((safe hugs))) I hope you feel better. Whenever it comes to these kinds of symptoms and any spinal injuries, it is best to have a physician look at it. They could take x-rays, MRIs, or other tests to determine if it's a worsening condition, bursitis, related to your previous injuries, or a new injury, new tumor, new thyroid condition, new lymph node issue, new brain/neurological issue, possible heart- or lung-related issue, or some other strange issue that we laypersons don't know but trained physicians would.
It's better to be safe than sorry by seeking care with your treatment team. Ask for an appointment as soon as possible. See if they have time to squeeze you in before the holiday rush and uptick in Covid-19 cases (which will likely follow Halloween and all the major holidays, along with flu cases). The sooner the better in your case. It could be a serious issue, or it may just be an issue that warrants minor meds and lots of rest. Either way, it's best to have a physician tell you that than a bunch of anonymous persons online here. |
