My hair has been falling out a lot and thinning on top. I tried Rogaine for women, and it didn't help at all. Someone told me about Wild Growth, an herbal product you can get from Amazon, so I have been putting that on my scalp three times a week. I think it may be helping a bit. I'm so sorry your hair is falling out. It could be due to stress, aging, genetics, and/or Covid-19. Any combination of factors could bring about hair loss. Additional factors might also include the type of hair products you're using. Some of the falling out and thinning might be due to certain ingredients in your shampoo, conditioner, and/or styling products. Now that I've switched brands, I don't experience as much shedding and thinning, and my hair is starting to grow back. Here's an article that discusses "7 Harmful Chemicals in Shampoos that Cause Hair Loss." Many of the cheap shampoos and some of the more expensive shampoos will have these toxic ingredients. 1. Sulfates - Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Laureth Sulfate 2. Chemical Fragrances 3. Sodium Chloride 4. Parabens 5. Propylene Glycol 6. Diethanolamine (DEA) 7. Triethanolamine (TEA) And other articles like this one also agree that some of the ingredients listed above may cause hair loss. AARP offers additional advice on what to avoid to prevent further hair loss from shampoos: 1. Foamers and thickeners. According to New York City hair specialist and restoration surgeon Dr. Robert Dorin, Quote:

I use only Verb products. Shampoo, conditioner, curl cream and ghost oil.
It’s vegan and cruelty free. Smells so good. I only wash every 5-6 days. My hair is to my waist and healthy as can be. I never use any heat tools. I only airdry. I use a wide tooth comb when wet and do not brush it once dry. Just use my finger if need be. I have natural wave and curls. Excellent post!
I'm really lucky to have a stylist I adore and who is talented with hair. And her shop is only 1/2 mile from my apartment - an added bonus! I have found Olaplex shampoo to be a miracle for my dry hair. It's magic. Olaplex shampoo is about $28 a bottle on Amazon, but so little is required for each wash that a bottle lasts for about 5 months. __________________ |

I use olive oil shampoo and tea tree oil conditioner. my hair used to be thick now its thin so I switched back to natural products and added some supplements and my hair is getting thicker. still have areas of concern but it takes time. been having hair loss issues since 30 I'm 47.
I wash it twice a week. every 3 days. I brush it regularly. I use a hot iron on my bangs I admit a area of concern, so I try to avoid it but I have wavy hair and bald spots I try to hide with bangs. . I air dry my hair. __________________ Son: 14, 12/15/2009 R.I.P. Daughter: 20 Diagnosis: Bipolar with Psychosis. Latuda 100 mgs. |
