I had an appointment with my GP yesterday to get my ultrasound results, and the news was near miraculous. It showed that my liver is normal and healthy. This was a surprise because on my last ultrasound it was fatty. But somehow in the last 3.5 years of being sober, it's healed itself. I'd heard that the liver could repair itself, but I never expected mine would, the best I'd hoped for was to halt the damage.
Needless to say I'm thrilled, and this is just another reason to stay sober. |
