I felt the change in my body, but I'm not happy about it. The dr thinks insulin resistance lead me here. I knew I was prediabetic before my old dr did. I used to eat like a diabetic avoid sugar, sugar free alot. So I tested normal.

As soon as I eat sugar and quit my old way of eating like a diabetic. I become diabetic wasn't even prediabetic according to dr for a year!

Anyway adding another med to take with food. I'll never get this weight off.

I know how hard you try, @Aviza. I'm sorry. It does seem unfair. Maybe there's a solution around the corner. I'll be wishing for that with fingers crossed tight.

You should look into Keto and Intermittent fasting.

Drugs will never solve the problem but reducing carbs and insulin can.

There are tons of weight loss stories as well.

Hi Aviza, there can be problems with the sugar free as well. You need to know how much sugar you eat at a time. As far as I know, half an apple counts just the same as one glas of milk (with regard to sugar). So you have to, as I have learned, chose between the one glass of milk and the half apple, not both at the same time!

Ask you GP about an app or somthing else that can help you to count your sugar intake during the day, so you can plan your daily meals.

I found a list over artificially "sugar" that can give rise in the blood sugar and of those who can be eaten without raising the level of glucose in the blood stream.

THESE GIVES HIGHER BLOOD GLUCOSE:

Fructosis
Sorbitol
Xylitol
Mannitol
Lactitol
Isomalt

THESE GIVES NOT HIGHER BLOOD GLUCOSE:
Aspertam
Cyclamat
Acesulfam K
Saccarin
Sucralosis
Erytritol

Hope somebody can be helped to buy the most healthy products, when they try to lower their level of blood glucose.

Some tips to reduce weight if you have diabetes- Reduce your carb intake as it increases your blood sugar level. Eat fruits and vegetables, and whole grains such as whole wheat, brown rice, and oats. Proteins such as eggs, fish, nuts, and tofu. Low-fat dairies such as milk, and cheese. Limit sugary foods, white rice, bread made with white flour, and starchy vegetables.
