I have a cough and pain that travels from my chest to my jaw and neck and my throat feels very tight right now and I have bad heartburn. I've felt weak and exhausted for awhile. My anxiety was decent today. I don't want to jump the gun and rush to the ER if its just some strange anxiety I've never felt before. I did go to immediate care and my blood pressure was 140 but they didn't seem concerned about anything and told me to discuss things with my primary.
So like whats the difference? __________________ Ridin' with Biden |

Did the immediate care center perform any tests? EKG? Chest Xray? Blood tests? If I was in your shoes I would go to a hospital ER. I've done that many times when I can't distinguish between heartburn, panic attacks and a heart attack. Better to be safe than sorry I think. Hope you will be okay!

Try those over the counter medications for acid reflux, that cause pains in the chest but should be really monitored by the hospital as you can't take any chances when it comes to things like this.

I'd head to ER or call your nurseline and see what they say. They usually say go in. In my case they told me to call 911 and get an ambulance, it was a few blocks away so I drove to find out I was fine. But it could have gone the other way. Better to be safe than sorry.

I was thirty the first time I saw a cardiologist with more of less the same symptoms. It was heartburn. He gave me omeprazole.
I was fourty-seven the next time. It was a Ventricular fibrillation. The difference? I had lost consciousness. When it is a heart problem, you will know. But regardless, it is wise to follow up. It will give you peace of mind (though not at first). Then again, stress or lack of sleep could cause this. |

I have been diagnosed with GERD recently, and I'm on a lot of stomach meds until I can get an endscopy. I just had an EKG and it was normal.
