Hi. I decided to share this. Maybe someone understands. Years ago I found out I have a latex allergy. I was told to avoid certain things...fine. It has become the center focus of my life. The list of things to avoid is as long as I am tall. I have to write/create my own recipes because I cannot have anything from a cookbook or any online recipes. I have to share about it with anyone I have contact with because I have so many things that I cannot do, have, be in contact with or consume. It has become almost like a personal disclaimer. It has become the main topic of conversation no matter who I am conversing with. Ive met other people with latex allergies, but theirs is different in how it presents or they just have more freedom. Does anyone else here have a severe food/contact allergy?

I am looking for similarities. I have learned to accept this about myself. It would be interesting to talk to someone else in a similar situation.

Thanks for this!

So very sorry you are in that situation. Sounds like a terribly heavy burden to bear.

I have a food allergy and I have to be super careful or I will get really sick.

Not knowing much about Latex allergies, I am going to have to to surf the internet for information. My heart goes out to you.

Thank you. The best thing that has happened to my food allergy situation was getting an air fryer. It makes cooking so much easier. I can make something to eat in less time. Cooking used to be an all day event. The other thing that makes it easier is left overs. There's no convenient foods I can have. I think I got the air fryer in December. Its made me a better cook.

I love to cook actually. I cook by smell. I add ingredients that smell good together and add in as much as I need to until whatever I am making smells right. I love to make bread, something I do use a recipe for. I can't eat it, but it smells amazing. Bread is funny. It is made from alot of nothing.

Do you enjoy cooking and/or baking?
