I'm just wondering because I found out again yesterday mine is pretty low and I've been doing of a lot of dieting this year and watching what I eat and I've recently cut down to 1 soda a day and my weight isn't budging. I'm on Wellbutrin too. I started that in January.

I hadn’t heard anything about weight and vitamin D but I understand it plays a part in immune system function, so if you get your levels back up that should help your general health. Were you classed as deficient or insufficient? (Latter is less serious)
Maybe someone will know more. |

I do not know but I have read and heard on podcasts that you need good vitamin D levels, 30 or above in whatever units it is measured, for longevity. I have also heard that it acts as a hormone in the body but do not remember any details. Look up the podcasts by Rhonda Patrick, PhD, as she covers Vit D extensively.
Are you taking 2000 IU every day? Remember to take them with fat as it is a fat-soluble vitamin. __________________ Bipolar I w/psychotic features Last inpatient stay in 2018 Geodon 40 mg Seroquel 75 mg Gabapentin 1200 mg+Vitamin B-complex (against extrapyramidal side effects) Long term side effects from medications, some of them discontinued: - hypothyroidism - obesity BMI ~ 38 |

I have heard that before but it never does anything for me. And my vitamin D is always in the 60 ng per ml range. I will tell you when I lost weight previously my vitamin D level went through the roof... so I wonder if there was confusion on this and people who do lose weight end up with high vitamin D... not that vitamin D causes weight loss.
But high vitamin D is important for so many reasons. I take 5000 IU dot off amazon with K2. |
