Do they work for GI stuff? My GI suggested I try them for my stomach issues so I bought a box of Align and the reviews are pretty postive.

It depends on what kind of GI stuff. If it's the bacteria in your digestive system that's off, yeah, they can help with that. If your not getting a good balance of nutrients (which, tbh, I don't know anyone that is), they can help.

I've taken 3 doses so far and I don't know if you can tell after just 3 doses, but I feel like a lot lighter or some **** and I don't feel as full and I didn't puke as much today and I wasn't in as much stomach pain or nausea. Also my appetite was down too.

So I didn't realize that the Align pills had the days of weeks on the back. And I haven't been taking them in order.

Is this an issue? Unaluna? Anyone? I know they say to keep it in the blister pack. Idk if I just ****ed something up inside of me.

MY doctor wants me to take them, so I do. I have some other GI issues that it doesn't help, though.

The Align protocol perhaps includes titrating dose. Another possibility is that it starts with one or two strains of bacteria and then adds more or different strains.

I'm taking a probiotic that's designed to improve mood. And I think it does.
Here's an excerpt from the "blurb"
Quote:
Clinical and pre-clinical studies indicate that gut microbes can support mood and behavior by affecting the gut-brain axis, a complex communication network that links your gut with your brain. And the two probiotics in this formula are particularly effective.

In two randomized controlled trials, participants taking a blend of Lactobacillus helveticus Rosell-52 and Bifidobacterium longum Rosell-175 reported significant mood, stress response and emotional balance support as compared to placebo. These strains relieved stress-related gastrointestinal discomfort as well.

I have defiently noticed an improvement today. I haven't been throwing up at all and I have had energy to do stuff and my moods and anxiety have been good too. I think it is making a difference.

Sorry @Mountaindewed for hijacking your thread, my question can be ignored, if it’s too much of blah blah..

I‘ve been dealing with Histamine issues, which probably originates from the gut. I was an extreme sugar addict and when I mean extreme I mean extreme. I drank two L of coke everyday for over 10 yrs..

Is there someone who is dealing with leaky gut?

I’ve radically changed my diet since 2021. Almost no sugar except for little fruit, No gluten No processed stuff, which is tough, yet I have to be disciplined.

If someone is on a similar path due to chronic issues would love to know?!

Thanks

Hi @Kahapati,

It's called "Mood Improve." It has two strains:
  • Lactobacillus helveticus Rosell-52
  • Bifidobacterium longum Rosell-175
They are enhanced by:
"Saffron extract (stigma) [std. to 2% safranal; 11% crocins]"

Note that this formula contains milk and soybeans. "The probiotics are cultivated in a medium containing slight traces of milk and soy-derived ingredients."

I have no relationship / affiliation with Life Extension.

My daughter takes it religiously and I just started taking it based on her experiences. I only heard good things.

Thanks @SquarePegGuy

I’ve been taking probiotics for a while now, also different brands, but nothings seems to quite work. As always, every Gut Microbiome is different.

Will check this out! Glad it works for you!
