So after two days of having a sore throat and not being able to sleep last night, I went to the doctor. This is NOT something I would normally do because I have a fear of doctors, but I think feeling like my mom was there with me in spirit helped a ton.
I told the doc that I am afraid because mom had C-dif when she passed last week and loads of other health issues so I don't know what might be wrong. She said that C-dif is in the G.I. track(?) and that it couldn't be that, so she swabbed my throat and told me it wasn't strep. She told me she could do another swab to get me a definitive answer. She also told me that she would do the same thing in my situation. I seriously hope it's nothing major and I feel like a huge baby, but I NEVER get sick....NEVER.
I will let you know what I find out in about 48 hours.

BJ

Good luck. It sounds like you have a good doc. That always helps me knowing that my doc understands.

Sorry you are feeling ill. There seems to be a lot of sore throats and stuff going around that aren't strep. Must be the strain of cold virus. Ugggh.

Hope you feel better soon hon. You were very brave to go to the doc. It's so important for you to take care of yourself, especially right now.

Sore throat....UGH!

I wish you all the best in either a diagnosis which can then betreated or a simple virus that can hopefully lead to a quick recovery.

BIG HUGS to you onlymedid

Thank you. I didn't sleep at all again last night so I am hoping the antibiotics kick in today. 2 days without sleep and decent food is not good.
I sure hope I get over this soon.

Hugs back to you all!
