My youngest son went tubing down the River on Monday evening, he didn't hear me when I said "don't forget the sunscreen" and got a really bad sunburn.

On Tuesday morning he was sick, vomitting and diarrhea. He went to sleep Tuesday afternoon and did not move until I forced him awake Wednesday evening to make him drink. It did not even occur to me that he had heat exhaustion, I just figured he was dehydrated from the sunburn. But I got him to take fluids and he was feeling much better yesterday. About 5pm he even got out of bed to go play some video games.

At 6 he came up and said "will you look at my eye, it really hurts". There was a great deal of puss, which made it look like there had been a blister that popped in his eye. I absolutely paniced. I threw him in the car and hauled him off to the ER. It turns out it was pink eye. I feel so stupid. I just need some validation that if you saw a huge amount of puss coming from your child's eye it warrants an ER visit.
