Just had an OMG moment...
My son is 11 and has not seen the following movies:

Bedknobs and broomsticks
Marry popins
Herby (?) (the car one)
Petes Dragon
Chitty chitty bang bang

There are a bunch of Disney ones too but at least those only come out every few years so I have an excuse!

Oh SO many of the classics!
And here I thought I was doing such a good job as a parent! LOL
Others I am missing????

Be careful though - some kids are more interested in incorporating what they learn to the real world.

When Peter Pan came out, my best friend and I thought if we believed hard enough we'd be able to fly. We decided to prove it to our friends by running across her backyard picnic table and taking off in flight.

My best friend did it first - ran across the table and fell flat on her face. Everyone laughed. I figured if I tried even harder, I'd be able to accomplish the task. I ran across the table and took off in flight - until my face hit her mother's clothes line. I fell flat on my back - the crowd roared with laughter.

After watching Mary Poppins, we figured we needed an umbrella - but we learned our lesson from Peter Pan. The best solution would be to "borrow" a nice umbrella and give ourselves plenty of room - her rooftop looked like a good idea. Personally, I was a little ticked my mother never gave me a spoonful of sugar before giving me an aspirin - now I'm glad she didn't.
Thanks for this!
