The kids and I were planning on attending a game day twice this next week. My live-in girlfriends aunt just died, and the funeral MIGHT conflict with one of the game days.

Disappoint the kids and go to the funeral, or the other way around?

My ex is giving me an earful over putting the kids in front of the GF, and I'm not sure I trust my judgement.

I would do the funeral. Kids sometimes have to learn about emergencies that are just unavoidable.
Thanks for this!

Why do the kids have to go to the funeral? They're not even related.

Let the ex take them to the conflicting game day and you go to the other.
Thanks for this!
