My family's medical assistance got cancelled due to a form I never got. Then, I was sick and forgot to call our worker.

Now, we have no health insurance and my 8 year old is due for her focalin xr and school is about to start... I don't have any way to pay for her meds, and school will be hell for her without them

You can get a "trial" thirty day supply for free here.

http://www.focalinxr.com/info/savings.jsp

After you get your insurance fixed the same site will help you get $60 off Focalin each month for a year.

Some states have medical programs for children without insurance. You might check into what your state offers. Our town has a low cost clinic for children run by pediatricians in the area who offer their services for free.

I had another thought. Your school district's nursing services department or special education department will probably have a list of medical resources for you. Trust me, this is a common scenario in public schools, so they can almost always help you find the right services.

Call your worker and find out what you need to do. I would think with everything you're going through you should qualify for state insurance for your kids.
