Ladies... Contraception - I need your thoughts...
I am highly sensitive to medication, I get severe cluster migraines that have landed me in hospital. They get worse with contraception. So I've trialled them all except the depo and implanon. Depo is out because it can't be reversed (I would have to live with the effects for the three months) And going with the implanon - but I am worried about the side effects - in particular worsening of depression and worsening of migraines... Have any of you had any issues |

Yes, I had problems with the pills. I finally opted to have my tubes tied, but of course you may not have had children yet and wouldn't want to go to something permenant.

About 10 yrs ago I had the depo and I had an allergic reaction that left me incredible ill for almost 3 yrs, I couldn't keep food down and got terrible motion sickness meaning that I had to stop several times on the 5minute drive to work to be unwell. It's a shame there is not some way to test for reaction b4 you commit to it.
Also as of yet I'm still unsure whether it has affected my fertility, but as I am unsure whether I want children I decided not to have tests to find out for definite. Contraception is a great thing but as with most things it has it's perils too ![]()
