My niece has autism and I want her to develop normally at two years old. What can my sister do besides therapy and probiotics?

Hello strive356: I'm sorry I don't really have much of anything to offer with regard to this. But I saw no one had replied to your post. So I thought I would. I don't know where your niece lives, of course. One excellent resource for children with disabilities is the PACER Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Here is a link to their website:

PACER Center - Assistance for Children with Disabilities, Bullying Prevention, Parent Workshops

May it be of benefit.

I am not quite sure what you mean by help her develop normally? What exactly are your expectations? How severe is her ASD? The child is going to have a different developmental path than their peers. ASD is not a curable condition. It is just treatable depending on what sort of symptoms come up and what she needs individual help with like sensory processing issues.

Right now the only thing I can think that would be beneficial is probably what you are already doing. Child psychologist and a occupational therapist. And a lot of understanding!
