He thinks women are inferior and should shut up when a man says to, should only be in the kitchen, should be submissive, and blames us for everything. I didn't raise him to be this way. I think it was his dad.
How am I supposed to feel? Do I keep trying with him or let him go?

Have you ever thought that he may be a misogynist? He may have picked up attitudes from his father but this kind of hatred goes deeper.

You can state to him the behaviors that you will not tolerate. Letting him get away with treating you unfairly is probably not going to change his core beliefs but might make your life bearable.

My brother is 60 now and treats females as the reason that his life is so bad. We can't change others as much as we may wish to. Life is too short to tolerate garbage from your son.

Depends how old the child is. What was the nature of your relationship with your son? Where you present much while growing up with him?

If you didn't raise him to be this way are you saying he was solely raised by his father? And yes, how old is he? Does he currently live with you?
