I'm looking for any input or thoughts or advice on how to best approach handling a toddler who was recently, and very abruptly, abandoned by her father. Would play therapy be at all helpful to a child under 3?

It would depend on the therapist but I am sure it could help, you would just want to make sure that you get someone experienced with toddlers.
