So yesterday my 12 year old son was in crisis mode. They had to call the police to the school. It was a special police unit that has an officer and a child psychologist. They were able to help my son and today he had an ok day at school, going for half the day, tomorrow he will do another half day and that is it for the summer. I am left feeling like I did something wrong, that something I did caused his mental health issues, his autism, adhd etc. Every time someone asks how I am doing I break into tears. I am not doing well but I need to be strong for my son.

I'm sorry you are struggling with this. Presumably you know, deep down, this is not your fault. But, of course, knowing that intellectually & handling it emotionally are two different things. Anyway... I don't really have anything in particular to offer you here. I simply wanted to let you know I read your post... & I wish you well...

How's he now that he's on summer break? Don't discount the hormones at this age plus the exhaustion that comes with the changes.

He is doing well, we made a few med changes. He goes to summer day camps at the local university and is enjoying them.
