How do I help my daughter. She suffer clinical depression and anxiety. Today she just hates everything. What do I say or do?

((((Belljrb)))) The only thing you can do is support her and listen to what she has to say. Let her know that you love her no matter what and that you'll always be there for her. Does she see a therapist? I'm so sorry you're both struggling with this. It's really hard.

I agree with Mickey. If your daughter isn't seeing a therapist and what she's going through isn't a temporary phase, she sould probably contact a professional. I know it's really tough but we're always here for you

Just let her know how much you love her.I hope she can see somebody.I have anxieties and depression too,Is she on meds?Just keep letting her know that u will always be here for her.What she needs it support.Beleive me this illness isnt easy to live with.

I agree about reinforcing that she is loved.
Are you all going through family counseling of some sort? Caregivers matter and seeking individual counseling when living with someone with a MI is certainly useful, almost necessary actually. Finding support groups helps as well. When you say she hates everything. Is that in a lashing in type of depression or in a defiant angry type of lashing out? |
