That's a good one. And I like how he tied the financial equation to the discussion. I recently heard an off putting comment of how I wouldn't need to helicopter my children in a few years. I'm not wholly at home but my work hours are such that when my sons are home, I'm home which is a family value of mine. I'm not a helicopter parent so I was annoyed by the implication. It's just a way that I was raised to the concept of having a parent including my educator father in the home when I was.

I've seen just as much criticism and stereotyping of working moms who use daycare.

It doesn't matter what a mother does.

Mom's can't win and are the worst (on both sides) about criticizing rather than supporting each other.
