Im sure if this is the right place or not so please move if it is not.

I have a very happy go lucky boy of 7 yrs who over the last 2-3 wks has started getting funn with eatting a meal at night he will eat during the day ok but does not want to eat at night he says that he is fat & chubby when he is under weight at 49lb he will never be big as neither my husband or me are big but I have an ED & this is were it has come from & i hate my self so much for it he has also said that he wishes he is dead sometimes as well which is very upsetting as he his my baby but he only says that when he has had a big fight with his older brother PLEASE help me as I dont know what to do

maybe you should go see a t or doc for diagnosis? i thought it might be early for anorexia... then again mental illness can be affected at any time.

i would definitly at least take him to the pediatrician(sp?), maybe get a referal for a T

I would definitely check in with a pediatrician ASAP for a possible referral.

I'm so sorry this is all happening, but glad you're aware that it needs to be addressed ASAP.

Thanks every one I will give it a few more days of sitting him down & talking it all through with him we might be getting some were with him now fingers crossed but if he doesnt get any better by monday I will take him to the dr & get him referred :-(

Make an appointment with a child psychologist with psychoanalytic orientation to help you find what is going on.

You are a really good mom to take this seriously and to want to help him now and not wait. This is about your son's development and health and not about blame

Just thought that I would let you all know that my son has started to eat again we have not had him saying that he is fat any more for a few days & he is back to his normal cheaky self again at the moment but I will keep an eye on him just in case he slips back again :-)
