it's easy to feel guilty, part of the depression .... you love your kids, they are loved and cared for .... that's the most important thing .... you are not a failure .... you do your best, we all do our best ...... we all have the same fears when we are ill and have children .... love is the most important thing .... hugs and love to you and yours ..... With patience and understanding....love and compassion you can help your children to understand that you are doing the best you can do to conquer this depression. You can teach them that finding and accepting help is not a weakness but a strength. They can learn by your experience that asking for help is also nothing to be ashamed of. This can be applied to many aspects of one's life as well. I'm sure you are doing the best you can do. Our intent is so important and as long as they know that your intent is to help yourself get well and in turn you can then become the mom you really want to be, then they will understand it.... sabby |

I struggle with those same thoughts! I start thinking someone else could do better or be a better parent. Then I take a drive to a not so nice part of town and see the homes kids running the streets with no shoesetc.. and realize I am a good mom. My hubby owned a convience store in a poverty neighborhood and little kids would come over and want to buy food with their dollar. Like a hot dog or cheeseburger. I wanted candy with my dollar as a kid. Thats because my parents fed me. So there are always better parents and worse parents. I hope this helps. Hugs
