Hello. I'm in Australia and my nephew here begins school at the same primary school that I went to as a kid.

He is 5, going on 6.

I am worried that he might get teased.

Have any of you had such concerns and if so how did you get over them?

I am relieved I am not a parent and am not responsible for the well-being of this child, being an uncle is bad enough.

My nephew has a misshaping of the back of his head
which is why I am so worried about him.

From what I've read on the internet, surgery is an option, but they usually wait until the age of 8 years old before it is done.

Just wondering if anybody in a similar situation has any advice or can share any similar experiences.

Cheers.
