I’m sure it’s expensive but the place I’m looking at says they subsidize treatment. I’m afraid this debt would ruin my life more than anything else.

I've never had that experience. Even with insurance my last inpatient bill was over $2,000. It's ridiculously expensive. HUGS Kit

I'd think the easiest way to find out, is to call the treatment centre and ask them explicitly what the cost is and how it's determined, ie is it sliding scale.

In 2007 my insurance ran out while I was IP and they just kicked me out despite me clearly still needing to be there. Luckily I was in a treatment center so I just went back there. After that I think my parents worked something out with the insurance company but they had to pay a lot out of pocket until I got on medicaid. When I was in IOP in December 2020 I got funding and got into the program for free. Can you get on medicaid or get some funding?
