I filled under Schizo and was approved in 4 months from the application date. I had a lawyer from the start that helped me with the application, he also talked with my doctors, and had them write letters.

So it is possible to get approved the 1st time

I'm pretty sure it's hard to get disability on the diagnosis alone since a lot of people with BPD hold down jobs.

I can't seem to hold down a job to save my life. I really should qualify. Once I get a job I start falling apart.

Do you need to have any history of inpatient hospitalizations?

Go to ssa.gov look under theyre disability link it's about a 20 pg app. Put down everything you van think of every diagnosis, hospitislization surgery med etc everything! The more the better. But truthful. They'll check. A lot of people get denied the first time so don't get discouraged but you have 60 days to appeal the decision. Good luck
