my insurance has an exclusion list and it says:
Mental heath treatment and behavior therapy are excluded (except where state mandated) Am I reading this correctly? that they won't pay for therapy unless law mandated. Thanks! I guess just wonder about clarity... I would call them but they seem to not understand what I am asking when I do and then give me bs that makes it more convoluted. Still looking for a place did some emailing this weekend to some groups to see if they could help me.... Friday I was told no help from the county mental center, but they are ''looking into it'', I don't think I will get help there with how the lady was acting and what she was saying.. |

Hello, beauflow. Here is the link to the Colorado Division of Insurance. There are contact numbers. You should be able to get your questions answered there.

Thanks again TheByzantine!
I wrote them an email- sorry I have issues with phone calls some days- even though I work where I have to answer the phone (Lol)..... I was fortunately enough to find a local mental health facility of non-profit that took in people with no insurance I had to explain to three people about my insurance and brought in what I was reading, seems like two of them understood it. I wish there were easier ways to get help some days. I do get why it is hard in away but at the same time I am and I know a lot of others are stressed which makes this even harder. __________________ "A laugh is worth a hundred groans in any market." I understand your frustration. The cost, even with insurance to get mental health care is extremely high. I have a $7700 bill from a couple of hospital stay (and that's only from one hospital affiliation) and that was WITH insurance. Makes me think twice about ever seeking hospital treatment again.
I sincerely hope you can find the help you need at a price you can afford |
