my insurance has an exclusion list and it says:
Mental heath treatment and behavior therapy are excluded (except where state mandated)

Am I reading this correctly? that they won't pay for therapy unless law mandated.

Thanks! I guess just wonder about clarity... I would call them but they seem to not understand what I am asking when I do and then give me bs that makes it more convoluted.
Still looking for a place did some emailing this weekend to some groups to see if they could help me.... Friday I was told no help from the county mental center, but they are ''looking into it'', I don't think I will get help there with how the lady was acting and what she was saying..

Hello, beauflow. Here is the link to the Colorado Division of Insurance. There are contact numbers. You should be able to get your questions answered there.

Thanks again TheByzantine!
I wrote them an email- sorry I have issues with phone calls some days- even though I work where I have to answer the phone (Lol).....
I was fortunately enough to find a local mental health facility of non-profit that took in people with no insurance I had to explain to three people about my insurance and brought in what I was reading, seems like two of them understood it.

I wish there were easier ways to get help some days. I do get why it is hard in away but at the same time I am and I know a lot of others are stressed which makes this even harder.

I understand your frustration. The cost, even with insurance to get mental health care is extremely high. I have a $7700 bill from a couple of hospital stay (and that's only from one hospital affiliation) and that was WITH insurance. Makes me think twice about ever seeking hospital treatment again.

I sincerely hope you can find the help you need at a price you can afford
