Well, fortunately, my scripts are paid for medicaid in my state. The only thing is that Washington state medicaid won't pay for dental or vision -- but of which I need really bad. I was told 2 years ago that i need peridontal treatment but i can't even afford a regular dental visit-let alone a peridontist.

I just moved from Washington and I got dental and vision, it depends on the disability, if you get a referral from your doc, most of the time medicaid will pay for it, same with vision, I have diabetes and one visit a year plus glass were paid... you just need to ask around and see how to get things done. if your mouth is hurting good chance your doc can send you to the right specialist.... good luck and learn how to work the system.... *smile*

As of January of 2011, medicaid stopped paying for dental and vision for any one who is not officially on disability--except children can still get it. I am not on disability yet.

Also you can look on this site called ppa rx. Some pharmaceutical companies have programs that help you get your meds for free or a reduced price.

Good Luck

I forgot I even read this.
I might have been a different version of myself whan I first replied. Thank you for this info. I am going to try to remember to call them this time. Im still broke, still hungry. I pick people's vegetables and fruits from their yards to eat. i know thats pretty rude to do. But it's lunch right?
lol
I also eat peoples food from the fridge at work, i steal the toilet paper from there too.
I hope things get better soon.
I make just enough for my rent, transportation to work, and my medicine right now.

many people are way worse off than i am.

i just came across this - an yes i know the feeling - meds or food - im glad you have enough to get by although it still sounds like a struggle -I really hope things improve for you soon

IN Australia there are charities that wil help wiht food if you are stuck - there are also food kitchens - although they are over filled wiht poeple who need help - but the charities may be worth a look and the food stamps someone else mentioned

im lucky that where i work there is bread so i can always make toast and somtimes spare meals that the patient may have left earlier that day or be out for dinner - or the weekend - that has helped me a lot of times

i buy 2 min noodles and add vegies to them when they are on special or toast and baked beans or toast - lol i used to say i knew 100 ways to eat bread lol

I really hope things improve for you soon

P7

let us know how you are doing ok

you are probably on disability and that is why you can get it for dental and vision-I am not on disability. Maybe you would care to tell me who to ask and how to request it? Because I have tried everything I can think of to get them to make an exception for me.

Pretty frickin hungry right now.

Have you tried contacting the pharmaceutical companies which manufacture the drug(s) you must have? Your physician can help with this contact. The manufacturers offer programs for free medication under certain circumstances. Doctors often have samples to give out that will tide you over a part of the month.

i can try.
i have such a hard time remembering to do important things.
i dont know whats wrong with me.
i read over my posts and its like someone else wrote them.
and i was gonna thank some of you but then noticed i already did.

i need some sort of reminder system so i can use all these good suggestions.
unfortunately, i have no idea who i will be tomorrow.
:'( i just know i'll still be struggling, and still be hungry.
