I just got my second denial for disability today. They said in the denial letter that an independent physician had reviewed the case. They need to have a psychologist review it because a regular physician is not going to have the expertise to judge a mental disorder. The psychologist that they sent me to told me that my OCD was severe enough to qualify and they aren't even listening to their own experts who would realy know what is going on. I guess we'll just have to supeona her for the hearing before the judge.
It is getting really frustrating because they just can't seem to understand that mental issues can keep you from working just as much as physical ailments. The germophobia makes it really hard to be around crowds and even if I'm not working directly with customers I'd still have my coworkers. I'm starting to wonder if I need to just quit eating and not lose so much that I end up dieing from malnutrition but get down just low enough where I start having kidney, heart, and liver issues that can be reversed by gaining the weight back after I receive the counseling I need for other issues. I hate all this red tape you have to wade through to get the help you need. |
